BACK PAIN & PREVENTIVE ASANAS.

 

BACK PAIN :

The pain felt in the back is known as back pain. This generally originates from bones, joints, muscles, etc. It can be cervical, thoraic or in lumbar region.

Back pain is one if the biggest problems in the world. As a result from research 9 out of 10 people are suffering from back pain in todays world.

For preventing and curing  of Back Pain here are some asanas which should be performed on regular basis.


1.   TADASANA



Procedure - stand up and attention position, lift your arms upwards. Stretch your hand upwards, raise your heel and come on your toes. Also pull your body upwards, while going upwards take a deep slow breath. After some time breathe out  slowly and come to attention position.
(For better results perform this for 10 - 15 times).

Benefits - 
A. It improves body posture.

B. It cures indigestion and constipation.

C. It develops a sense of physical and mental balance.

D. It is beneficial in treating hypertension.

E. It improves concentration power of an individual.

Contraindications - 
A. If you have low blood pressure you should not perform this asana.

B. An individual habing headache should avoid this asana.


2. ARDHMATSEYENDRASANA



Procedure -  First of all sit on a flat surface. Then keep the left heel under the right thigh and the right leg is crossed over the left thigh. After that hold the right to with the left hand and turn your head and back to the right side. In this position more the trunk sideways.
For better results one should perform this asana for 10 times from each side.

Benefits - 
A. It keep the gall bladder and prostate gland healthy.

B. It is helpful in treating constipation, urinary tract, menstrual disorders and cervical spondylitis.

C. It enhances the stretchability of back muscles.

D. It maintain the flexibility of body.

Contraindications - 
A. Pregnant women should avoid this asana.

B. The individual suffering from hernia or hypothyroidism should perform this aasan under experts guidance.

3. VAKRASANA



Procedure - sit down and stretch your legs straight. Folder right leg and keep the right leg heel touching the left leg knee. Pleasure right hand behind your back and left arm over the right knee. Pusher rightly as far as possible and while excelling twist your trunk to  the right side. Now repeat it from left side.

Benefits - 
A. It improves the functioning of spinal cord as well as nervous system.

B. It is helpful in preventing and curing  diabetes.

C. It is very helpful in reducing chronic back pain and shoulder pain.

D. It reduces belly fat and strengthens  kidney.

Contraindications - 
A. About this asan in case of high blood pressure problems.

B. If an individual is suffering from serious back injury he / she should not perform this asana.


4. SHALABHASANA



Procedure - Lie on the ground in support of your belly. Spread the thighs  backward. Hold your fists and extend arms, keep your fist under the thigh and then raise your legs slowly as high as you can. 
For better results hold this position for 2 to 3 minutes and repeat the same action for 3 to 5 times. 

Benefits - 
A. It improves posture.

B. It is strengthen the muscle of spine, buttocks and back of the arms and legs.

C. It helps in removing constipation and stimulates abdominal organs.

D. It helps in relieving stress and alleviates lower back pain. 

Contraindications - 
A. People having spine problems or have a weak spine should avoid this asana.

B. Individual with weak heart, high BP problems should avoid this asana.


5. BHUJANGASANA



Procedure - in order to perform this our son lie down on the belly on the ground. Keep your hands near shoulders. Keep your legs close together, now straighten up your arms slowly with also raising chest. Head should be backward.
For better results of this asana practice this for 4 to 5 times regularly.

Benefits - 


 


 A. It provides strength, flexibility and agility.

B. It cures the diseases of liver.

C. It gives relief from problems of urinary bladder.

D. It makes the vertebral column flexible and thin.

E. It strengthens the muscles of hands and cures gas disorders, constipation and indigestion.

Contraindications - 
A. Pregnant women should not perform this asana.

B. Person suffering from hernia, headaches, back injury should perform this asana with expert guide.
